2025 Summer Outdoor Program

Momentum Volleyball is excited to offer  Outdoor Volleyball for the 2025 Season.  Come be a part of something great and keep getting touches on the ball in an outdoor setting!!

We have secured the use of a convenient location and grass field where we will host evening Grass Volleyball Opportunities for the Junior player.   (Additional details on how to register, times, dates, participant and safety rules) are listed below.  We hope to see your family this summer!

2025 JUNIOR'S GRASS LEAGUE FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL, JV PLAYERS & VARSITY PLAYERS

Cost:  $20 per player per session

Description:  FEMALE Doubles (2 v 2)

Location:  Back Creek Park, Middletown DE

Dates:  Wednesdays May 28-July 30

Times:  Evenings 6:00 - 8:00 PM weather permitting

Levels of Play:  Juniors play by ages (Age determined by oldest player on team)

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Differences in the Indoor vs Outdoor Game

There ARE differences in the outdoor game when compared to the indoor game.  There will be an orientation at the beginning of the first few nights of league play.  (This is done for late registrants, those missing days b/c of travel, etc.)

What Do I Need To Bring to the League 

Someone on your team will need to have an outdoor volleyball. We have a few that we can loan out, but an outdoor volleyball is something players should have. We recommend the Wilson AVP outdoor volleyball.  These can be purchased online or at local sporting good stores. 

Players should also bring their own supply of water, a light snack, a sweat towel, bug spray and their volleyball (if they have one). Chairs, blankets, pop-up tents, coolers and music are also allowed ~ and encouraged.  Families can enjoy coming a bit early and picnicking with other friends and families.

Each parent/guardian will REGISTER THEIR OWN PLAYER.

This is so that each parent can submit the waiver for their child, so that no parent is responsible for the entire team fee, and this also gives those registering the option to let us know what help your player needs with regards to finding partner(s).   Registrants will be asked to select from the following:

A) I have a team and my partner's name is _______

B) I do not have a team.  Please help place me with a partner.

C) I am unable to commit for the entire summer but would like to be a substitute for times when a player is out of town or on vacation

We will need each person that plans to participate in the league to complete registration and pay their own fee.  Each person will pay the $20 per session. 

SAFETY GUIDELINES AND REQUIREMENTS

• Each player must have an active USAV Membership
• Players should not participate if they are feeling ill or have signs of cough, cold, difficulty breathing, or other symptoms as defined by the CDC website.
• Players will need to bring their own water bottle(s), towels, chairs and sunscreen and/or bug spray.  
• Please bring your outdoor volleyball.  If you do not have one, there will be volleyballs you can borrow.
