Coach Day
Randy Day founded Momentum Volleyball Club LLC in 2015, formerly known as Delaware Revolution.
In the last several years, Coach Day has built Momentum into one of the top-notch volleyball programs in the state, offering a multitude of different opportunities for players at every skill level.
With over three decades of youth coaching experience and a successful impact on many, Coach Day brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to developing the next generation of volleyball players. In recent years, he has led his teams to a 1st place finish at CHRVA Regional Championships in 2022, 1st place at Beachfest and the Boardwalk Block Party tournaments in 2023, and 2nd Place in the 2023 MLK Kickoff Challenge.
Over the past 6 years, he has coached teams to over 30 top 3 finishes in competitions.
Coach Day's personal mission is to help players grow as people and athletes by encouraging them to take big swings and be great teammates. He aims to prepare them not just for success on the court but also for life, during, and after volleyball.
Katie Lough brings a great deal of playing and coaching experience to Momentum Volleyball Club.
During her time at Forest Park High School, she received Virginia 6A Second Team All-Conference honors. Coach Katie went on to play college volleyball at Frostburg State University, competing three years at the NCAA Division III level and one year at Division II; she took on the role of libero, defensive specialist, and team captain for the Bobcats.
She was also selected to the CAC and MEC All-Academic Team all four years, as well as chosen to represent her team on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Since beginning her coaching career in 2017, she has been a part of three different club programs,, working with athletes across all levels. Through her connections, she has helped many players get recruited to play volleyball collegiately.
In 2023, Coach Katie attended the Art of Coaching Volleyball Clinic to further enhance her coaching skills. She is dedicated to helping her players grow on and off the court and contributes a thoughtful, student-athlete focused perspective to coaching.
Greg “Mac” McCusker has over 25 years of coaching, playing, and refereeing volleyball experience.
Mac began his coaching career in numerous youth and recreational volleyball programs. From there, he went on to coach high school, college, camps, clinics, and ‘club’, winning numerous awards along the way.
During this time, Mac has grown the sport of volleyball by encouraging volleyball for all levels, on all surfaces (indoor, outdoor, grass, sand/beach), with a goal for those involved to have fun, learn and love volleyball and hopefully pass it on.
Over his coaching career, Mac has obtained USA Volleyball Level II coaching certification. He has worked with USA Volleyball as a High Performance Evaluator and is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association, the Junior Volleyball Association and the Positive Coaches Alliance.
Coach Mac’s coaching philosophy focuses on developing fundamentals, teamwork, and communication. He provides everyone the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the game through both competitive play and long term growth. His goal is to provide each athlete with the opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, mentally and physically through persistent effort needed to be the best they are capable of being.
Delanie Day has been coaching volleyball since 2015, bringing an abundance of experience as a standout player herself.
Delanie's volleyball journey began in 2010, where she went on to hold the record for season kills and be named MVP & team captain at Middletown High School. Coach Delanie was also recognized as a Second Team All-State player for Delaware. She went on to play at Frostburg State University, competing one year at the NCAA Division III level before moving to Division II. Coach Delanie was the top server in the MEC conference and ranked in the top 20 nationally out of all Division II schools for aces per set in the 2019 season.
She has found great success coaching club volleyball, connecting many players with college recruiters and opportunities over the years. She likes to keep things fun yet intense, with high expectations for her teams. As a player, Coach Delanie was an outside hitter throughout high school and club and later transitioned to a defensive specialist in college. Her extensive volleyball background allows her to relate to players across positions and help them take their skills to the next level.
Delanie is excited for the continued growth and development of her athletes in the coming seasons.
